Political correspondence and some official papers of Richard Grenville, 2nd Earl of Temple (1711-1779), George Grenville (1712-1770), Henry Grenville (1717-1784), Thomas Grenville ((1755-1846), George Grenville, 1st Marquis of Buckingham (1753-1813), and Richard Grenville, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos (1823-1889). Personal correspondence includes letters addressed to George Grenville, 1st Marquess of Buckingham (1779-1836); Richard Grenville, 1st Duke of Buckingham and Chandos (1776-1839), and to his wife, the Duchess Anna Eliza (1779-1836); Richard Grenville, 2nd Duke of Chandos (1797-1861) and his wife Mary Campbell Grenville (d. 1862); Richard Grenville, the 3rd Duke of Buchingham and Chandos, and Richard Morgan-Grenville, the Master of Kinloss (d. 1915). Estate and business letters include letters to the various family agents and officials and to their lawyers and financial agents, including firms of Currie ? much of the correspondence deals with the bankruptcy of the 2nd Duke. Also included are letters to the 3rd Duke dealing with railway development, specifically with the London and Northwestern Railway, the Aylesbury abd Buckinghamshire Railway, and the Wotton Tramway.
